Happy Halloween!

Another wonderful weekend. I'm attempting to post this as LOTS of trick-or-treaters are ringing the door bell. I bought lots of good candy expecting to have some left over for us, but I don't think that's going to be the case. In fact, I think we're about to have to turn the porch light off. I guess we should have estimated more kids considering we live about ten houses away from the elementary school!
Friday night we had a Halloween Margarita Mixer at Sugar Creek and Justin played- it was a blast! We dressed up as referees and threw our penalty flags when a ball was out or blew the whistle if we disagreed with a call! The costumes were quite elaborate, so we'll have to step up our game in the costume department for next year. I forgot my camera, so no pictures from tennis. However, the following night we played in the Monster Mash golf tournament. Our team of four was all McCoys! Terry and Cindy dressed up as baseball players and Justin and I repeated our referee attire, almost as good as the night before.

We tee'd off at 4:30 and played through twilight as a "shamble" and then met everyone at the half-way house for fajitas and drinks. The club decorated it with lots of lights, glow-in-the-dark stuff, smoke machine and scary music! It looked great. Then the pros handed out our glow-balls and mandatory glow-in-the-dark necklaces. They explained the rules which included absolutely no lights allowed (flashlights, golf cart lights, etc).
The night golf was a scramble. It was SOOOO much fun! It was very hard to even hit the ball, and figure out how to hit it since the glow balls didn't hit like real golf balls. After 5 1/2 hours of golf total, we finally finished and met at the 19th Hole Bar to turn in our scores. We ended up getting SECOND place as a team, which was a gift certificate! We had such a good time and we will definitely be playing in it again next year.

Here's a few pics for mom- the yard still looks pretty good, although it has been in the upper 80's and no rain, so a little dry.
