We started out the morning with a tennis group. The courts are very different. They are "all weather" courts. They are kinda sandy, kinda grassy, kinda slippery, but very different than anything I had ever played on. Because tennis balls are so expensive here, the ball basket the pro brought had 20 balls in it. In case you're not the tennis type, a typical drill basket would have about 120 balls in it! So you would hit 3 balls, and then go pick up 3...very interesting! Although it wasn't what I was used to, it was wonderful. We had a very pleasant group of people and in the end, we played Aussies vs Americans...and sadly, the Americans lost. Afterwards, the group walked down to a shop and sat inside while sipping on smoothies & chatting.
Once finished, my mom's best friend, M.C. invited us to go back to her condo and swim. She has the most amazing views of the river and downtown!
She brought down wine, cheese and snacks for us to enjoy while in the pool. It was so pleasant! After a couple hours in the pool, mom and I came home, showered and headed out to grab some food.
We ate some kind of Thai food while watching the massive storm come in. Then wandered around the grocery store and headed back home. We sat outside and enjoyed a snack under the cover until my dad was ready to be picked up.
