Mt Coot-Tha, UQ, Market & Bechtel Office

Justin went home this morning : (
double checking his passport & docs
We then drove to Mt Coot-Tha Lookout which overlooks all of Brisbane. Beautiful views!

After admiring the city, we drove to the University of Queensland. We first checked out the tennis courts which are usually filled with players, but they were destroyed in the floods. They were actually completely covered up to the top of the high fence line with water. They are still closed, but have begun repairs and should be opened back up soon.

Then we walked over to the main campus of University of Queensland. It is such a beautiful campus. It reminded us of Tech's campus. Lots of open areas, beautiful archways, and details.

We walked most of the campus, went into the rec center (which is not air-conditioned) and then waited for my dad to pick us up!

We planned on having a seafood lunch at the Breakfast Creek Warf, but it hasn't reopened since the flood. So we drove back to Queen Street and ate at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow. Delicious.

Then we went across the street to pick up "just a few items" from the market, and ended up with several bags to walk back with.
Australian avocados!!!
largest bag of tomatoes ever.

After picking up the goods, we went to my dad's office. It's in the swanky part of town with awesome shops below. There are several restaurants, hotels, and bars all in the same complex. It's not a bad place to work if I could say. His office overlooks the city. I know he was happy to show me around and I was happy to know where he spent his days.

We went back to the house, ate lots of bruschetta, enjoyed a movie, had dinner and fell asleep early.
